Risk Manager - Solano County, California

As such, the County is exposed to a wide variety of risks and liabilities that must be addressed responsibility, timely, proactively, thoroughly, and mindful of financial costs. The Risk Manager is responsible for administering the County’s self-insured workers compensation program; managing leave programs; participating in the development of safety policies and procedures; interacting with governmental agencies; participating in emergency/disaster response; and leading, training, mentoring and facilitating an excellent staff team. The typical background for the position includes a Bachelor’s degree; 5 years of comprehensive experience; and 2 years of supervisory experience. An Associate of Risk Management (ARM) certification from the Insurance Institute of American (IIA) may be substituted experience and/or education. The annual salary is $108,977 to $132,463, and the County provides an excellent benefit package.
