The Planning Manager (Long Range Planning) oversees an interdisciplinary team of seven professionals who, are vital for implementing the City’s core values and provide innovative leadership in support a vibrant, livable, and sustainable community in an urban environment. The Planning Manager leads the team with the goals of implementing the community’s vision as established in the City’s General Plan and Climate Action Plan for guiding future development and developing policy and plans guiding change. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in a public, educational, or institutional organization/structure including a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or a combination of education, training and experience is required. American Institute of Certified Planner Certification is desirable or must be obtained within 12 months of hire. The annual salary range of the position is $154,292 to $203,069, and the City provides an excellent benefit package.
