The Milpitas Human Resources (HR) Department is made up of seven FTEs including the HR Director, Employee Relations Officer, two HR Analysts, HR Technicians and one HR Assistant. The department is organized into several areas of responsibilities including Operations; Benefits Administration; Recruitment and Selection, Employee and Labor Relations and Training, and each area provides key essential services and customer support to City Departments, the City Council, and the public. The HR team stands by excellent customer service and equitable standards across the City.
The Director will report to the City Manager and work closely with and through the Assistant City Manager. The City is seeking a strong, compassionate leader and experienced professional. At least seven years of professional experience in human resources administration or an approved related field, at least three years of which shall have been in a management capacity. Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree in human resources administration, public administration, business administration, psychology or an approved related major from an accredited college; Master’s degree highly desirable.
The annual salary range for the Human Resources Director is $164,387.86 up to $230,143.42; placement DOQE.
