The City Manager is looking for a collaborative leader who works well with other departments and the Executive Team, and who is solution- and team-oriented to join his dynamic team. The next Finance Director will communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and will have the ability to present complex financial information to a variety of audiences. An exceptional understanding of and background in both accounting and finance and knowledge of CalPERS reporting requirements is desirable.
This Director will join a professional Finance team who values a personable leader committed to building a cohesive team, is approachable and supportive, and practices an open-door policy. The new Director will lead a department that has built a solid reputation for professionalism, competence, and customer service; as such, the new Director must foster a collaborative, cohesive, and high-performing working environment. Strong Finance, administrative and leadership skills are required, as is a supportive and communicative management style.
The salary range for this outstanding opportunity is $178,220 to $213,864. Additionally, a 3% increase will be in effect in December, 2023. Placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
