Finance Director - Gold Coast Transit District, Oxnard, CA
Gold Coast Transit District (GCTD) provides public fixed-route and paratransit service over a 91-square-mile area to a population of 375,000 in the cities of Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura and the unincorporated areas of Ventura County. GCTD has nearly 200 employees and is headquartered in Oxnard in a beautiful new facility. The Finance Director will report to the General Manager and oversee the District’s $31 million budget. The Director serves as a member of the District’s progressive and vibrant management team and oversees a department staff of ten employees.
The ideal candidate brings proven experience in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, financial reports, and internal audits; supervision of accounting activities; coordination of investments; and state and federal grant applications. Eight years of progressively responsible financial management experience is required; at least four years directly or indirectly in the public sector or a public transit agency is desired. A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree and CPA is highly desirable.
The annual salary range is $114,947-$160,902 DOQE; CalPERS is 2.7% @ 55 for Classic.
