Finance Director - City of San Pablo, California

Centrally located in West Contra Costa County just minutes away from the Bay Area cultural centers of Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco, this city of 29,140 residents has become a thriving residential and business community. The Finance Director will oversee a staff of 5 employees, including 1 Accounting Manager, 2 Accounting Technicians, and 2 Fiscal Clerk II’s.  The ideal candidate will be versed in budget planning, financial policy determination, economic forecasting, financial reporting, audit compliance, and cash management. 

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration is required; Master’s preferred.  Additional requirements include a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and financial work including considerable administrative and supervisory experience.

Annual salary range of $178,908 - $217,464, DOQE and an outstanding benefit package including CalPERS 2.5% at 55 (Classic).
