The new Director will work closely with department personnel, citywide staff and the executive team in leading and managing all aspects of the City’s budget, accounting, grant management, treasury, and utility billing functions. The Finance Director is a working, hands-on and self-sufficient director while also a trusted advisor to the City Manager to address all citywide financial matters. This position requires a combination of education, experience, and passion for public service with an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience of: a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with major coursework in Accounting. A CPA (certified public accountant) and/or CIA (certified internal auditor) designation is preferred, but not required. Applicants should have five (5) full-time years of progressively responsible and professional work experience in public accounting and financial work including at least three years of direct supervisory experience over professional and technical staff. The annual salary range of the position is $124,439 to $166,760, and the City provides an excellent benefit package.
