The City of Beverly Hills is seeking a collaborative, solution-oriented leader to serve as the Director of Community Development. As a key member of the Executive Team and public facing ambassador for the City, it is necessary that the Director be approachable, engaging, politically astute, and a skilled communicator and listener. The ideal candidate must have seven years of increasingly responsible management level experience in municipal planning, community development, economic development or a closely related field. At least five years of experience must have been in a public jurisdiction and must have included the direction of professional staff. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, civil engineering, architecture, public or business administration or a closely related field. A Master’s degree in planning, public or business administration is highly desirable. Certification as a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and ICBBO Certification in administration are desirable. The annual salary range is $211,879 to $306,589, and the City provides a competitive benefit package.
