Deputy Director of Finance - City of Hayward, California

The Finance Department has a FY 2023 budget of $7.35 million and 34.5 full-time employees. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position will assist in managing and directing the Finance Department’s Accounting & Payroll Division and the Revenue Billing & Collections Division. The Finance Director seeks a local government professional with strong technical knowledge in municipal finance, including governmental fund accounting, preparing internal and external financial reports, financial forecasting, and experience preparing the Annual City’s Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Single Audit and State Controller’s Report.

The annual salary range is $154,086.40 to $187,262.40. Placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
