City Manager - City of Turlock, California
Approximately 93 miles south of Sacramento, Turlock is a flourishing community in northern California's San Joaquin Valley. Turlock (pop. 72,879) is a diverse, family-oriented community and home to California State University Stanislaus. Turlock is a General Law City with 332 FTEs and a FY 2017-18 General Fund budget of $38,249,175 (Non-General Fund $154,073,034). The City Manager is Turlock’s chief administrative officer, appointing department heads of the City's five operating departments and leading them in furtherance of City Council’s policy direction.
Five years of managerial experience in a public or private agency is required. At least three years’ experience as a City/Town/Village Manager or as an Assistant/Deputy Manager, CAO/CEO, or similar is desirable. A four-year college or university degree (public administration, business administration, urban planning, finance, or related) is required. A Master’s degree, other advanced degree, or equivalent experience and training is desirable. The salary range for this position is $195,000 to $225,000, and dependent on experience and qualifications.
