City Manager - City of Glendora, California

Set in the scenic foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in northeastern Los Angeles County, Glendora is a thriving, upscale community imbued with small town values and ambience.  With a population of 52,000 residents and encompassing 19.86 square miles, Glendora is known as the "Pride of the Foothills.”  The City Manager is appointed by a five-member City Council and oversees approximately 206 FTEs and FY 2017/18 total budget of $69.6M. A wide range of services is provided including police, public works, water, storm drainage, planning and development, park and landscape maintenance, code enforcement, building inspection, library facilities, recreation and administration.  The ideal candidate is a proven, collaborative leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills.  A solid knowledge of municipal finance/budget and labor relations is desired as well as an individual that stays current on legislative policies that impact the City.  A Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in public or business administration or a related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.  Competitive salary DOQE.
