The Mayor and City Council are seeking, in their next City Manager, a results-oriented decisive leader with high integrity who is consistent and uncompromising in their adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. The ideal candidate has the ability, through excellent communication and collaboration skills, to educate, facilitate and help bring people and their interests together.
Any combination of experience, education and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be eight years of progressively responsible experience in an administrative, managerial, or staff capacity in a municipal organization, involving responsibility for the planning, organization, implementation, and supervision of varied municipal services and capital projects.
The starting salary will be based on the qualifications of the selected candidate. The current salary for the City Manager position is $256,485. CalPERS retirement, generous medical, dental, vision coverages and other benefits are also provided by the City of Anderson.
