City Clerk/Assistant to the City Manager - The City of Westlake Village, CA

The City is seeking an experienced administrator, project manager, organized and dedicated leader, and progressively minded individual to serve as its new City Clerk/Assistant to the City Manager.
The ideal candidate is an individual who embraces team work and collaboration in support of achieving excellence, accuracy in work products, customer service, and success. The City Clerk/Assistant to the City Manager should be an individual seeking to implement and maintain best practices and accomplishing projects for City services and operations to be excellent, achieving the responsibilities of the City Clerk’s Office, serving the administrative needs of the organization, and providing customer service. The successful candidate must thrive in an environment that desires state-of-the-art processes and systems for serving the public; be a “people person” with maturity for working with others; be articulate and approachable; be responsible, timely and organized; and engender trust. This position requires 4 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience related to the responsibilities of a City Clerk and/or Senior Analyst along with a Bachelor's degree. A Master’s degree, certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), and supervisory experience are preferred but not required.
The City offers a competitive salary of $94,044 to $135,216 based on experience and qualifications, plus a competitive benefit health and retirement package.
