Building & Code Enforcement Manager - City of San Juan Capistrano, California
San Juan Capistrano, population 34,593, is a vibrant and diverse community located in desirable southern Orange County. The City is predominately residential with a mix of commercial, industrial, agricultural, and tourist-oriented uses. Housing varies from elegant hillside estates to historic adobes. The Building & Code Enforcement Manager is appointed by and reports to the Development Services Director. The Manager will oversee a $1.2 million budget and staff of 6 responsible for building inspection, code compliance, and all building permit applications for new construction and renovation. At least 5 years of experience in building inspection or construction including 2 years of administrative/supervisory responsibility required. Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, civil engineering, public administration, or a related field is required. Possession of an International Code Council (ICC) Building Official Certificate is also required. Annual salary range of $118,272 - $143,736 DOQE.
