Under the general administrative direction of the City Manager, the Director of Administrative Services oversees and manages Finance, Information Technology (IT), Recreation, serves as the City Treasurer, and leads a team of 3 full time staff. The Administrative Services Director plans, organizes and supervises the City's financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable, purchasing, accounts receivable, tax and fee collection (business license, utility billing) and all cashiering related functions; oversees the information technology applications, systems, and network, services which are provided by an outside contractor while software support is managed by lead platform users within the agency; oversees recreational activities, which includes seasonal sports (basketball and softball), facility rentals, and an aquatic program at the Bobbie Greenwood Swim Center and serves as the City Treasurer, managing the City’s investments.
The City Manager seeks a flexible and adaptable leader, who is collaborative, friendly and approachable to join her team. This ideal candidate will have a strong desire to continue to work on best practices, have strong contract management and financial compliance reporting experience, and be committed to talent development and mentor staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial management and budget information in a clear, concise, and steady manner to staff, the Council, and the community.
The annual salary range is $109,000 to $132,000. Placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
