Administrative Services Director - City of South Gate, Califorina

As the City of South Gate focuses opportunities and strategies for its future, an Administrative Services Director is desired who possess excellent fiscal and financial acumen in budgeting, treasury functions, accounting and reporting; leadership for educating and guiding informed decision making; team building for empowering and engaging staff; knowledge of human resources for hiring talent and labor relations; and familiarity with information technology for implementing and maintaining systems and business solutions.

The City seeks an experienced local government Administrative Services Director with integrity, finance experience, Fund Accounting experience, knowledge and familiarity with human resources and technology, and management skills for financial management and leadership, building teams, and working with staff.  The ideal candidate is a “people-person”, excellent communicator, collaborative, and visionary for affecting forward progress.  Candidates must have 6 years of progressively responsible experience finance, accounting, human resources or related experience, including three years of management and administrative responsibility and the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in government finance, public administration or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.  The annual salary range for this position is $155,496 to $195,000 and along with an excellent benefit package, the successful candidate is eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus.
